Don's Recovering

Here is Don's owie! Along with sharpie marks left behind! And to think I am the one who gets to remove all those staples. yikes. wish me luck. or wish Don luck!!!
He's back out on the streets, folks!! Out walking with his walker with the basket with the pink and purple flowers on it- which has been one handy little thing to have! I wanted to get the matching streamers for his handle bars, but he said no. We are so thankful he is getting around this good.

At Mercy

Here is my husband in the middle of a bite to eat at lunch time. I am so grateful that he is doing so well after such a traumatic emergency surgery. The road ahead may be a rough one, but my heart is so full of love for him and Jesus just keeps refilling it with His love and it overflows on my kids and grandkids and boy am I tired and weepy all of a sudden! Thank you, Lord God, even in this.
Lily delivered this fishy balloon today. Later that evening another animal balloon arrived! Tune in to see what that was!!!
This is the dry erase board in Don's room. It says it all.

My hurtin' hubby

Please pray for rapid healing for my big bear husband. He is in severe pain, which is why he's home from work wrapped up in his koala bear blankie. He has his walking stick there to help him get up and down as well as walk. He really strained some muscles in his lower back. Besides the back pain, the pain travels down his leg also. So far the pain medications he is trying either make him throw up or just don't really help. Yesterday he did lots of moaning and groaning. Today he is quieter - but I don't think he feels any better. He's been to the chiropractor twice and the doctor once all in the past 2 days. He gets a very frustrated look on his face whenever I need to help him do anything (must be a guy thing). He will be off work the rest of the week. He is icing his lower back and walking every hour. Please pray that God would take the pain away. I can tell Don is spending a lot of time meditating and praying through it, but please join with us in seeking relief for him. I know how much it hurts.
